The blanket is knitted in bands which means no more sore arms or hands from holding needles containing many stitches, that can be awkward to hold and knit with!
Can be knitted in one colour, or several colours. The beauty of this pattern is that you can make the blanket/shawl as long or as short as you want.
Also looks great as a cushion cover - see picture.
Would also make a beautiful throw blanket, or shawl.

8 ply, Double knit, Light worsted cotton, 125m / 137 yards per 50 gram ball.
Main Colour (MC) -- 8ply cotton approx 350 grams.
255 grams will complete 3 panels - (638 metres / 699 yards).
Contrast Colour (CC) -- 8ply cotton approx 170grams.
170 grams will complete 2 panels - (425 metres / 466 yards).
Border
100 grams will complete top and bottom - (250 metres / 274 yards).

One pair 3.75mm needles.
GAUGE / TENSION
24 sts x 33 rows over 10cm (4 in), measured over patt using size 3.75mm needles (US 5 : UK 9).
