The cardigan is worked in seed stitch & stocking stitch.

3.75mm (US 5 : UK 9) circular needle 40 cm (16 in) and 60 cm (24 in) long, or size needle to obtain tension.
One set 3.75mm (US 5 : UK 9) double-pointed needles or size needle to obtain tension when working the sleeves in the round.
If preferred when knitting the sleeves you could work the Magic Loop method.
One pair 3.75mm (US 5 : UK 9) straight needles, or size needle to obtain tension, if working the sleeves flat.
